Former Premiers of Queensland

Message from the 38th Premier of Queensland

International students are most welcome in Queensland. My Government sets a high priority on this State's educational organisations, from schools to universities and colleges, as we strive to enhance world leading facilities and academic and training courses.Queensland enjoys a high reputation among overseas students both for the excellence of our institutions and for our lifestyle, which benefits from our warm and sunny climate. Our society is multicultural and our people are welcoming and friendly.

More than 56,000 students from across the globe are currently studying at schools, universities and colleges in Queensland. Many more are familiar with our institutes of learning through extensive networks of links with similar organisations overseas.

Royal Brisbane Institute of Technology (RBIT) and its sister organisation, Royal Brisbane International College (RBIC), ranks high among international education providers in this State.

I am delighted to support RBIT/RBIC in their quest to lift its profile in Europe and South America. I wish you success and I welcome students from across the world who will receive a warm welcome from Queenslanders, as well as benefiting from a first class education.
